Cable Bay activitiesSituated within 5km of Happy Valley Adventures are a range of fantastic activities. You can kayak around Peppin Island from Cable Bay, with stunning scenary and crystal blue water - and a chance to see dolphins, seals, penguins and maybe even the occasional orca! You should allow half a day for this kayaking tour. Horse trekking tours also operate locally, passing through Happy Valley - giving you a chance to see our beautiful location on horseback. This activity can take a few hours. If you prefer to test your skills with a rifle, then we have a local range that will give full tuition (if you need it!) in a safe and fun environment. You can challenge a friend at the duelling tree, a true test of accuracy and speed. Allow an hour to enjoy the range. Travelling between Nelson and Picton/BlenheimHappy Valley Adventures is a two-minute detour off the main road between Nelson and Picton or Blenheim, making it a fantastic spot to break up your journey on the way through. This provides road access into the Marlborough Sounds, where you have further kayaking, walking, accomodation and nature experiences on offer.
